Description
Set out on a heart-pounding adventure deep in the Dominican Republic’s lush rainforest. This tour combines scenic trekking, adrenaline, and refreshing natural beauty. Be picked up from your hotel or meeting point (depending on your booking option) and driven into the mountainous region of Jamao. Upon arrival, gear up and receive a safety briefing. Begin a hike along forest trails, crossing streams, passing native flora, and listening to birds and the forest sounds. This approach builds anticipation until you reach the base of El Hongo Mágico waterfall — named for its distinctive mushroom-shaped rock formation. At the waterfall, prepare for abseiling (rappelling) down a vertical drop of about 30 metres (≈98 feet). As you descend the face of the waterfall, water cascades beside you, the spray invigorates, and the forest surrounds you. The descent is done under professional supervision with secure equipment, and the guides will assist each participant. Once at the bottom, take time to swim in the natural pool, cool off, and soak in the environment. You’ll also be served snacks and tropical fruits, and in some tour options, a Dominican lunch is included in Jamao. After refreshing and resting, the group hikes back, returns to transport, and is driven back to the original pickup area.Includes
