Day 1: Monte Cristi - El Morro Begin your adventure by meeting your guide at the scheduled time and location. Head directly to the historic center of Monte Cristi, known as the jewel of the Dominican Republic's northwest. Cross limestone hills to reach the coastal city of Monte Cristi. As soon as you reach the center, see the clock tower of San Fernando de Monte Cristi, the ideal place to begin learning about its history. Afterward, head to the Máximo Gómez House Museum and delve into the grounds for a guided tour and discover its secrets. Next, head up to the El Morro viewpoint as the sun begins to set. Capture one of the most beautiful sunsets in the Greater Antilles. To round off the first day with a flourish, have a delicious dinner at the popular La Casa Azul restaurant. Finally, get dropped off at your hotel in Monte Cristi to rest. Day 2: Mangroves - Grand Grossier - Goat Island After a delicious Dominican breakfast, board a boat that will take you to the mangroves. Sail through the dense vegetation, reach a platform at the mouth of the Caribbean Sea, and stop so you can swim and sunbathe. Afterward, continue sailing on the boat in search of Grand Grossier. As soon as you arrive, be enchanted by this stunning white-sand beach and turquoise waters. In this beautiful marine setting, find small wooden kiosks and swings. The last stop is Cabra Island, a sandy island nestled near El Morro. Admire the imposing cliff from its virtually pristine beach while you have lunch at Marina del Mar in Monte Cristi. After enjoying the scenery, sail back to the starting point.
