Description

We will contact you the day before the experience to inform you of the name of the service executive who will be assisting you, the time of pickup, and some recommendations. On the day of the experience, we will travel approximately 1.5 hours to our first stop: Cueva de las Maravillas (Cave of Wonders). Here, we will visit a beautiful cave of about 2,000 square meters, 800 meters of which are open for exploration. We will observe the flora and fauna and admire the stalagmites and stalactites accompanied by expert tour guides. We will then leave the cave and admire a rhinoceros iguana breeding center, where they are kept for the growth of their population and eventual release into their natural habitats. Leaving Cueva de las Maravillas, we will travel approximately 30 minutes to the pier in La Romana, where we will enjoy a typical lunch accompanied by a non-alcoholic beverage and beautiful views of the Romana River. Once we have eaten and had a well-deserved rest, we will depart for Altos de Chavón in Casa de Campo, where we will visit the viewpoint (overlooking the Chavón River), San Estanislao Church, a fountain inspired by the Trevi Fountain in Rome, the Altos de Chavón Amphitheater, the Dominican Amber and Larimar Museum, and the Altos de Chavón Archaeological Museum. The visit to Altos de Chavón and the Cave of Wonders can be alternated depending on the availability of both places so that our customers have as much space and time as possible. At the end of the tour, we make our way back to visit a gift shop, where, with no obligation, you can sample our typical Mamajuana, coffee, and artisanal chocolate and, if you like, purchase beautiful souvenirs for your loved ones.
