Description
We start the day before the experience: we contact you to provide the name of the service representative who will be assisting you, the pick-up time, and some recommendations.
On the day of the experience, we will travel for approximately 1.5 hours to our first stop: Cueva de las Maravillas (Cave of Wonders). Here, we will visit a beautiful cave covering about 2,000 square meters (21,500 square feet), 800 meters (8,600 square feet) of which are accessible for exploration. Accompanied by expert guides, we will observe the cave's flora and fauna and admire the stalagmites and stalactites.
We will then leave the cave and have the opportunity to observe a rhinoceros iguana breeding facility, where the iguanas are kept to increase their population and later be released into their natural habitats.
After leaving the Cave of Wonders, we will travel for approximately 30 minutes to the La Romana pier, where we will enjoy a typical lunch accompanied by a non-alcoholic beverage and beautiful views of the La Romana River.
After a hearty meal and a well-deserved rest, we will depart for Altos de Chavón in Casa de Campo, where we will visit the viewpoint (overlooking the Chavón River), the San Estanislao Church, the fountain inspired by the Trevi Fountain in Rome, the Altos de Chavón Amphitheater, the Dominican Amber and Larimar Museum, and the Altos de Chavón Archaeological Museum.
The visits to Altos de Chavón and Cueva de las Maravillas may be switched around depending on the availability of each site, to ensure that our guests enjoy the most seamless experience possible in terms of time and space.
At the end of the tour, we will make our way back and stop at a gift shop, where, with no obligation, we can sample our traditional Mamajuana, coffee, and artisanal chocolate and, if you wish, purchase beautiful souvenirs for your loved ones.

- We are waiting for the Cueva de las Maravillas board of trustees to provide access for people with limited mobility. Altos de Chavón already has part of its route accessible, and they are working to make the entire route fully accessible.
