Description
This guided small-group tour explores the Cenotes Chicho, located in Cotubanama National Park. You will discover clear blue waters illuminated by natural light, surrounded by stalactites and stalagmites.
Your visit starts with hotel pickup in Dominicus. Guests staying in Bayahibe or at the Hilton Hotel can walk 10 minutes to the dive center. From there, walk a marked trail through the park's diverse flora and fauna to the cenotes.
Using a flashlight, you will enter the cave through its grand entrance, then descend stairs into water maintained at 25°C. Snorkeling here offers a close-up view of the cave's natural rock formations. Safety is prioritized throughout the experience.
After snorkeling, return to the jungle trail feeling refreshed. The tour concludes at the dive center, where you can enjoy a light snack and time to chat with guides Gaëlle and Julien before returning to your accommodation.
Wear sneakers for the excursion and bring a flashlight for cave exploration. The best time to visit is during daylight to see the light play on the water and cave walls.
