Description

Embark on a jungle trek deep into the tropical hills outside Puerto Plata. Begin with a pickup from your accommodation, setting the tone for a day filled with scenic beauty and exhilarating fun. After a brief drive nestled in nature, arrive at a rustic visitor’s site where traditional Dominican cuisine awaits. Once fueled up, your guide prepares you for the thrill ahead—providing life jackets, helmets, and safety instructions before you set out on a winding forest trail. Trudge upward for approximately 30 to 45 minutes through lush greenery and over charming wooden bridges, gradually approaching the limestone-carved cascades. Upon arrival at the falls, the real excitement begins. Depending on the season, explore between 12 and 27 natural water slides, pools, and canyons. Feel the rush as you leap from rocky perches—some up to 8 meters (about 25 feet)—or opt to slide down gracefully if heights aren’t your thing. Swim through crystalline plunge pools and glide through peaceful canyons, all under the attentive eye of experienced guides who ensure safety and fun. Once the water adventures conclude, a relaxing descent leads you back to base, where refreshments—like fresh fruit and cold drinks—await. Your adventure ends with a smooth ride back to your accommodation, carrying memories of adrenaline, lush scenery, and authentic local hospitality.
