Description

Embark on a comprehensive three-day scuba certification course in La Romana. Work alongside a certified instructor, gaining both theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience under the sea. Begin with classroom and confined-water sessions where you’ll become familiar with essential diving principles, safety guidelines, and the gear—mask, regulator, buoyancy control device, and more. These first exercises are crucial to building confidence in controlled conditions. Over the next two days, undertake open water dives: first dives from a boat to explore shallow reefs (up to ~12 meters depth), then later dives reaching deeper waters (around 18 meters) where you’ll refine buoyancy management, dive planning, and navigation underwater. One of your dives includes exploring the wreck of the Atlantic Princess, adding excitement and unique marine life sightings to your certification experience. Everything, including dive gear, educational materials, certification fees, and a logbook, is included. Transport between hotels in the Dominicus-Bayahibe region is provided, and the group size is kept small (max six participants) to ensure personalized attention. At the end of Day 3, you’ll be awarded your PADI certification once all theory and practical requirements are met.
