Description
Your tour of 'The Bride of the Atlantic' starts with a convenient pick-up from your hotel or cruise terminal. The first stop is the iconic Puerto Plata Cable Car. You'll climb to the top of Monte Isabel de Torres to enjoy the most spectacular views of the city and the ocean next to the statue of Christ the Redeemer.
After descending, we'll delve into history by visiting the San Felipe Fortress, a colonial jewel facing the sea. We'll stroll through the historic center so you can snap the best photos on the famous Calle de las Sombrillas and the Paseo de Doña Blanca (the pink street).
You'll learn about the process of precious stones at the Amber Museum and taste the local flavor at the Ron Macorix factory. To top it off, we'll head to a beautiful local beach to relax and enjoy an authentic Dominican buffet lunch with rice, beans, and stewed chicken before heading back to your starting point.
