Description
Built around the cruise clock, this 4–5 hour tour bundles Puerto Plata's colonial old town, a traditional Mamajuana tasting, and a real Caribbean beach afternoon — with a guaranteed on-time return to Taíno Bay or Amber Cove.
You'll be picked up at your port in an air-conditioned coach and driven into the historic center with a certified local guide. Walk the pastel facades of Pink Street, pass under the canopies of Umbrella Street, stop at neighborhood cafés, and step inside San Felipe Cathedral before climbing to the 16th-century San Felipe Fortress overlooking the Atlantic — entrance included.
Between stops, you'll sample Mamajuana, the rum-and-herb infusion locals swear by. Your guide explains its Taíno-African roots and why every Dominican household keeps a bottle.
