After pickup from your hotel, travel to Santo Domingo, the oldest European settlement in the Americas. Learn about the city's foundation following Christopher Columbus' arrival in the Caribbean.
Your first stop is Three Eyes National Park, a natural reserve featuring open-air limestone caves and clear freshwater lakes known as the “eyes.” Explore a subterranean cave once used for Taino Indian rituals.
The tour continues with walking and bus visits through Santo Domingo’s colonial core. Key stops include the Alcazar de Colon, the National Pantheon, and the First Cathedral of America. After exploring historic sites, enjoy a typical Dominican lunch with drinks at a local restaurant.
