Description
Begin your journey with a scenic early pickup from your Punta Cana or Bávaro hotel lobby. Be transferred comfortably to the marina in La Romana, then board a catamaran named “Paradise” (or similar). Sip on tropical refreshments as you cruise toward Catalina Island’s east side.
Your first dive takes place at “The Wall”, a dramatic vertical drop starting at about 15 ft/5 m and reaching depths beyond 100 ft/40 m. Descend along vibrant coral cliffs surrounded by schools of tropical fish, stingrays, sea turtles, moray eels, and even reef sharks in crystal-clear visibility. After spending approximately 45–60 minutes underwater, the boat heads to “The Aquarium” on the western side. This shallower reef (roughly 8–12 m/26–40 ft deep) offers a gentler dive with rich biodiversity—spot angelfish, trumpetfish, lobsters, stingrays, and intricate coral formations.
Following your dives, the boat lands on Catalina Island's white-sand beach around midday. Here, enjoy a delicious BBQ-style Dominican feast including grilled fish, chicken, pork, salads, pasta, and local fruits, along with unlimited alcoholic and non‑alcoholic beverages served at a beachfront bar. Relax on the soft sand, swim, snorkel off the beach, or stroll under the palm trees. An on‑island dive master is available to discuss local marine life.
At approximately 3:15 PM, board the boat back to La Romana marina, where light refreshments and music await. Disembark around 4:00 PM and be driven back to your hotel, arriving early evening.
