Your day begins with a hotel pickup from 6:30 am. Travel to Los Haitises National Park along the coast of Samaná Bay. Upon arrival, board a boat and cruise the Caño Hondo River toward San Lorenzo Bay while observing red mangrove forests on the shores.
On the water, watch for distinctive rocky mogotes inhabited by pelicans and fork-tailed flycatchers. Visit the Arena and Linea caves featuring ancient Taíno pictograms and petroglyphs inside.
Next, disembark at Caño Hondo Paradise Hotel to swim in natural pools fed by the Jivales River. Enjoy a traditional Dominican lunch at this peaceful location.
After lunch, travel by jeep to Redonda Mountain’s summit, situated between Limón and Redonda lagoons. From this vantage point, take in expansive jungle views.
