Punta Cana: Macao 300cc Spider Buggy Tour, Cenote & Beach

Bávaro, Dominican Republic

Drive your own upgraded 300cc Spider Buggy through Macao's off-road trails. Stop at a Taíno cenote, a Dominican ranch for coffee and mamajuana tasting, and finish at wild Playa Macao.

Highlights

  • Drive an upgraded 300cc automatic Spider Buggy, more power than standard buggies
  • Cool off inside Cueva Taína, a natural cenote with an underground river
  • Taste fresh-roasted coffee, cacao and mamajuana at a Dominican ranch
  • End at Playa Macao, one of the region's last unspoiled white-sand beaches
  • Explore in Spanish, English and French — a rare combination in Punta Cana

Description

Skip the standard 150cc buggies and take the wheel of an upgraded 300cc Spider Buggy — a more powerful, automatic 2-seater built for Macao's rougher terrain. Over roughly 4 hours, you'll cover the trails, culture and coastline that make this corner of Punta Cana worth leaving the resort for. After pickup from your hotel in Bávaro, Uvero Alto or Cabeza de Toro, you'll gear up with a helmet and get a full driving briefing before heading into the backcountry. Follow your guide along dirt tracks, muddy paths and tropical scrub that regular vehicles can't reach. Your first stop is a working Dominican ranch, where you'll taste freshly roasted coffee, pure cacao, green tea, flavored cigars and the country's signature mamajuana. Next, descend into Cueva Taína — a natural cenote with an underground river, rock formations and one of the best photo spots on the route. The tour finishes at Playa Macao, a wild, undeveloped beach of white sand and clear water where you can swim, relax and take in the coast before the ride back. Guides operate in Spanish, English and French, so you can follow the stories and safety instructions in your own language.
