Description
Samaná is a peninsula on the northeast coast of the Dominican Republic, recognized by UNESCO as a member of the World's Most Beautiful Bays Club and classified as a World Eco-Tourism Paradise.
Between February and March, over 3,500 humpback whales mate in the warm coastal waters off the peninsula.
The tour begins with a boat trip from Sabana de la Mar to the Bay of Samaná. Upon arrival, enjoy a horseback trek to the 50-meter high Lemon waterfall, featuring a natural pool and surrounded by tropical forest.
Next, explore Samaná city on a safari truck tour. This historic site was discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1493 and is known for its early encounter between Europeans and natives.
After the city tour, have a Dominican buffet lunch at a field restaurant, including a tasting of local tropical fruits.
