Description
Enjoy a full-day adventure to Samaná, one of the most beautiful regions of the Dominican Republic, combining wildlife, nature, culture, and beach time in a single experience.
The tour begins early in the morning with hotel pick-up in Punta Cana and Bávaro. From there, you will travel by comfortable bus toward Miches, enjoying scenic countryside views along the way. Upon arrival in Miches, you will board a catamaran and navigate toward Samaná Bay, where the marine portion of the tour begins.
During the whale-watching season, you will cruise through the bay searching for humpback whales, which migrate to this area to mate and give birth. You may have the opportunity to observe these magnificent animals in their natural habitat and take photos, always following responsible wildlife observation guidelines. Whale sightings depend on natural conditions and seasonality.
After the marine experience, the tour continues in Samaná, where you will switch to a safari truck for the land portion of the excursion. This ride takes you through rural areas and local communities until reaching a traditional ranch. From the ranch, you will begin a horseback ride along lush tropical trails, passing local houses and natural landscapes.
The horseback trail leads to the impressive El Limón Waterfall, where you will have free time to swim in the natural pool, relax, enjoy a refreshing drink, and take photos. After spending time at the waterfall, you will return on horseback to the ranch, where the safari truck will be waiting.
Next, you will travel back to the port area of Samaná and board the catamaran once again, this time heading to Cayo Levantado, also known as Bacardi Island. Here, you will have free time to relax on the white-sand beach, swim in crystal-clear waters, and enjoy the Caribbean atmosphere.
At the end of the day, you will return by catamaran to Miches, then continue by bus back to your hotel in Punta Cana or Bávaro, completing a full-day experience filled with nature, adventure, and unforgettable moments.
