Your trip itinerary:
We'll meet at the time you choose in front of the Royal Houses Museum and start a guided tour of the Colonial City of Santo Domingo. We'll explore each of the most important corners of the oldest part of the Dominican capital.
First, we'll go into the National Pantheon, the Royal House Museum, and Plaza de España, where you'll find the iconic Alcázar de Colón.
Then we'll continue the guided tour along Calle Las Damas, where we'll stop to admire the Casa de Rodrigo Bastidas, founder of various cities in South America. You'll also see the old residences of Nicolás de Ovando and Dávila. They're authentic traces of the colonial era in Santo Domingo!
We'll then head to the Cathedral of Santa María la Menor, also known as the Primate Cathedral of America. After seeing this temple, built by order of Charles V, we'll head to the oldest fort built by Europeans in the Americas: the Ozama Fortress.
Then, we'll continue our walk before wrapping up the tour through Parque Duarte and the Dominican Church. We'll finish by enjoying a Dominican mamajuana or our authentic rum at the Larimar Museum, where we'll learn about the history of each drink and our national stone.
