Description

Itinerary: We will meet at the time of your choice in front of the Museo de las Casas Reales and begin a guided visit of the Colonial City of Santo Domingo. We will explore each of the most important corners of the oldest area of the Dominican capital. First, we will enter the National Pantheon, the Royal Houses Museum and the Plaza de España, where the emblematic Alcazar de Colon is located. Then we will continue the guided visit along Las Damas Street, where we will stop to admire the House of Rodrigo Bastidas, founder of different cities in South America. We will also contemplate the old residences of Nicolás de Ovando and Dávila, authentic traces of the colonial era in Santo Domingo! We continue to the Catedral Primada de América, also known as Basílica Menor de Santa María de la Encarnación. After seeing this temple built by order of Charles V, we will head to the oldest fort built by Europeans in America: the Fortaleza Ozama. Afterwards, we will resume the walk before concluding the tour, through the Duarte Park, the Church of the Dominicans and finish enjoying the Dominican mamajuana or our authentic Rum at the Larimar Museum, where we will learn about the history of each drink and our nation stone.
