Café Marietta is located in Altos de Chavón, a beautiful replica of a 16th-century Mediterranean village within the Casa de Campo resort in La Romana, Dominican Republic. 'Altos de Chavón' means 'the heights along the Chavón River,' and it is in this spectacular setting that the café is situated.
As visitors stroll through the cobblestone streets of Altos de Chavón, they come to the stairs leading up to Café Marietta. Stepping into the open-air restaurant, one can enjoy a pleasant breeze and breathtaking views of the Chavón River and the surrounding countryside, including the Dye Four golf course designed by Pete Dye. It is truly a wonderful and relaxing environment.
Café Marietta offers much more than an unmatched location. Its food is equally outstanding: the homemade pasta is exquisite, the pizzas are baked in a wood-fired oven, and the seafood and shellfish are fresh and locally sourced from the Caribbean Sea. The burgers and steaks are renowned, and the Saturday and Sunday brunch has become very popular. Additionally, they offer an excellent wine list to complement their dishes.
