Discover the history of the first street in America on a full-day tour of Santo Domingo. Start your tour with a visit to the Columbus Palace. Completed in 1514, it was the home of the son of Christopher Columbus, Diego. From the palace, walk to the historic Plaza de España and to Calle Las Damas, the first paved street in the New World. The final destination is one of the most important sites in the Dominican Republic: the first cathedral in the New World.
