Located in Plaza Bibijagua Flea Market, on a beach of fine white sand in Playa Bavaro, Poseidón Restaurant & Pub (former Acqua Beach Club) is a restaurant that offers a variety of national and international dishes and specializes in fresh seafood. Some of the fantastic dishes include grilled seafood and lobster, Punta Cana fried fish, pasta, steak, grilled chicken breast, chicken with orange, filet mignon, and a great variety of burgers and buffalo wings.
The menu also includes many choices of Caribbean fruits and typical Dominican desserts. The wine list is extensive and international: Woodbridge from California, Marche Rosso from Italy, Taso' Real and Beso de Vino from Spain, Yellow Tail from Australia, Perrier Jouet from France, and Santa Rita 120 or Casillero del Diablo from Chile.
Located in the lively Bavaro Beach area, Poseidon offers delicious cocktails that can be enjoyed during the day or at night, all to the accompaniment of pleasant Caribbean music.
The restaurant also hosts several events on a regular basis. The 'Traffic Light Party' is an opportunity for people to meet each other. Guests are given a tag, and each of the three kinds of tags represents the guest's status: red for engaged; yellow for maybe; and green for available. Another event is called the 'Bonfire on the Beach' which offers the opportunity for guests to spend a pleasant time under the moonlight next to the enchanting fire on the beach. Poseidon is also happy to help plan events like weddings, birthdays and corporations parties.
